About the SPACE Prize

From the books that were collected at SPACE 2022, we are awarding the
2022 SPACE Prizes. The prizes will be presented in three categories-
General, Graphic Novel and  Minicomic / Short Story. The winners will be picked from three voting bodies in each category.
Two rotating judges and the registered SPACE 2022 Exhibitors.

The winner of the General and Graphic Novel SPACE prizes will win a cash prize of $300.00 and a plaque.
The winner of the Minicomic / Short Story  categories will win a $100.00 cash prize and a plaque.
The plaque presentation will be held live at the 2023 show.

 

The General Category:

All comics that do not fit into the graphic novel or mini-comics/short story categories qualify for the general category.

In the General category if an anthology wins the editor/publisher will win the prize not each of the individual contributors.

If you are a contributor to an anthology and you want your individual story considered please enter it under the mini-comic/ short story category.

 

Graphic Novel Category:

All entries with a page count of more than 56 pages qualify for the graphic novel category.

The Mini-comics/short story Category:

Only mini-comics 5-1/2" X 8-1/2” maximum size and a maximum of 28 interior pages or a short story in an anthology up to a 16 page story can be submitted for this category.
